This is a remake of a film from the 80's
that wasn't V good
I've a soft spot for the original
Harry Hamlin was a big star from LA Law who sunk without trace after this
Nasty people said that you could tell if he was actin or a puppet,
and you had the original Stop/Go effects of Harry hausen.
This certainly has a Bigger budget but is it any better
Well no probably not
it fall into that old 3D trap of havin things flyin at the screen every couple of minutes
Some V good actors here, Neeson and Fiennes both hammin it up as Gods
That bird from James Bond, oddly enough playin the same character.
The story is Peresus on a quest to save Princess Andromedia and the city of Argos from destructiuon at the hands of the Kraken
On the way they meet/fight giant scropions, warriors made of wood and blind witches
AND Medusa, Body of a snake, hair of vipers
and one look can turn you to stone
I once woke up next to a women like that

It's ok but pretty much instanlty forgetable
I Might rent the original see how it compare

Ok for a wet night in when 'Theres-nothin-on-the-telly'

think the original was better evn though the new one had better special effects... some films are better left without remaking them just like the original Jason and the argonauts, the original version of battlestar galactica, the rise of the planet of the apes and the original time machine.

Of the 'Rubbish' films that have bean remade only 'Oceans 11' spring to mind as being better than the original.
There's a remake of 'Carrie' on the way, I'll see it but I doubt it will be better
