Costa are sending out offers to most app members this week called Treat Drop.
Offers range from 50% off food, £1 of coffee, 2 for £5 coffee.
This treat drop is happening once per month.
Bad news - you now need 10 beans instead of 8 to get a free coffee.
I only buy their coffee using a reusable cup which gets 2 x beans each time.

win some and lose some I guess but never go to Costa. Is it cheaper as well as more invironmentally friendly to use a reusable cup?

No, same price I believe for using a recyclable cup but you get an extra bean each time.
I have only just joined up recently but managed enough beans to get a free coffee using free beans for joining, referring someone and buying one coffee in a recyclable cup.
It used to be buy 4 x coffees in recycled cup to get free coffe but now buy 5x.
I believe though this is still a good deal in comparison to other coffee chains like Nero etc.
