Indeed. So if nothing else, you owe it to your fellow money-savers to let them know about our superior rates so that they can claim the difference from tcb ;)

How does that help this website?

You have to go to the competitor to get the HCP cashback in the first place. Meaning that all imutual will be doing is sending more business through to the competitor. (As moneysavers will always get more cashback using a site that pays a cash bonus on top of the HCP amount.)

Does their HCP work like that :?:
Do they give you 1% on top
OR do they just match it?

Yes, I wondered that.

OES - if we're talking about existing tcb users who can get a better rate at imutual on merchants they use regularly, I guess they'll fall into two camps: those who are prepared to take the time to submit a HCP request each time they do a transaction through tcb; and those who prefer just to go via imutual, get the highest rate and not have to do any more.

In both cases, they stand to get more cashback than at present; but the latter will save themselves time AND help to build a competitive alternative to the "big two"

Top ups are on top of HCP for info.

Whilst lots of people may like to redeem by vouchers for xtra cashback value personally I would always redeem for cash

Higher rates on Imutual are excellent for those who loyally do all there transactions via Imutual.

They match it then enhance it.

Have you not read my posts on this?

A HCP payment request to TCB will result in a bigger payout than imutual. So imutual won't have the the "highest rate".

Seems a bit of a circular argument. "We have the highest rates. and if we don't, we'll match them and add 1% on top. Therefore we have the highest rates".

I guess it comes down to how much people value:
- their time (given the necessity of going through the HCP process)
- the track record of the respective sites with respect to missing/incorrect transactions
- the perceived value (or otherwise) of imutual share ownership
- the longer term benefits of helping imutual become established as a competitor

But, sure, if none of those apply then a tcb member still stands to benefit from knowing about our higher rates so that they can do their HCP claims every time. In this instance, you are correct that imutual wouldn't directly benefit but at least we can derive satisfaction from having enabled someone to get better cashback than they otherwise would

The 1% they add on you quote is their minimum enhancement. It gets higher the more you use them.

The time involved in submitting a HCP is probably more cost effective than the time involved in doing recurring clicks for coppers.

I read evey word of your too rare posts
I didn't realise they did that
I disagree with your claim that 'The time involved in submitting a HCP is probably more cost effective than the time involved in doing recurring clicks for coppers.'
Example; on a £10 purchase TCB pay 5% and IMutual pay 6%
The HCP would result in a 10p improvement for 5-6? minutes effort

And expressman33 makes a good point
If it don't track and you make a claim you don't have a right of appeal
