I think one of the things we could stockpile after years of division is a sense of care for our neighbours - we can't save the world, but we can look out for one another.
My neighbour is 78 and lives alone.... I'll be looking out for her, because she is far, far more vulnerable than me. Likewise, I am here in the UK whilst SWMBO is in Portugal - but neither of us is planning to travel until we know how things pan out over the next few weeks.... particularly as I could be a good vector to introduce the virus into an area which has (until now) no incidence of the virus.
I watched the Late, Late Show on RTÉ last Friday (RTÉ player is available here) and they spent the first half hour of a two hour programme with representatives from the Health Service talking about very practical things to do - one good tip was about hand-washing - they suggested that, if possible, people use liquid soap..... because it means people don't "share" a bar of soap. For a country that loves its sport and the craic, cancelling two 6-Nations games and all St. Patrick's day parades just shows how seriously they're taking the issue.
As kev said, just common sense..... even if it is as common as rocking horse droppings
Be careful out there......
