- What Are You Stockpiling for Coronavirus?
Maybe the government doesn't want to cause panic.macliam wrote: ↑Mon Mar 16 2020 7:22pmSomebody has FINALLY poked the UK government to take some action... social distancing - whatever next?
The reason appears to be that the virus is rampant - particularly in London (which is, of course, the only place that matters )
Most of the reasoning is exactly what I have previously suggested (and in line with our neighbours) and the stated objective is to help the NHS keep its head above water.
There is also a little truth escaping about the likelihood of any form of immunity although the suggested mortality rate (<1%) is WAAAAAY less than suggested elsewhere and is even on the low side for other outbreaks.
At least there is information coming from the people who know..... even if it does seem a little "manicured".
Have you been to the shops recently?

Fine job, Boris - confidence at a high and no panic!!!
I put my best foot forward and have over six months supply. That isn't to say that I'm going to take a break from stockpiling.Sarah wrote: ↑Wed Mar 18 2020 1:49amSainsbury's first hour after opening tomorrow (March 19th) will be for elderly and vulnerable customers only. Also from March 23rd online customers over 70 years of age or with a disability will have priority access to online delivery slots. All instore cafes and meat, fish and pizza counters to be closed from March 19th so that staff and supply capacity can instead focus on essentials. New limits on bulk purchases (max 3 of any item or max 2 of highest demand items) apply with immediate effect.
