It is their choice. It is not mandatory for shop workers to wear masks under current legislation.
Possibly the shop manager thinks they should wear them.

Masks must now be worn in cinemas unless you are holding a box of popcorn or drink.

Given the cost of such things in the local fleapit, I presume the person that sells you them needs to wear one..... most robbers do. :shifty:

Some good? news,
D3 and Mesun were in Maccys on Monday, took 45 minutes to get their App order, and it was wrong. Girl said she come back with the missing items but never did. I said 'Why didn't you complain?' She said that the counter was crowded with 'White privilege people' none of who were wearing a mask.
The next day she got one of those 'How was your recent visit' emails. She really tore into them, saying 'Corporate manslaughter, Systemic failure and institutionalise apathy.' none of whioch I understood. The next day she got the stand C+P of 'Passed your concerns to our management team'
When she went next time there was a man on the door, refusing admission to non mask wearers
People who had 'Left it in the car' were told to go and get them This is good news for the COVID19 fight but I'm sure someone, somewhere will sue

Based on her experience, she may be in a position to be a part of the litigation. Keep any evidence safe and secure.

Talking on Look East how people are worried about holidaymakers bringing the virus with them.

messages from people from Southwold and Aldeburgh, home to so many London 2nd homers and where other "yuppies" love to boast they had a staycation.

Both said the same: visitors have left their brains at home. No social distancing, no masks. Locals are staying at home.

What you say about visitors is untrue.

Respect for working hard and having a second home in a quiet English village.

Hard working bustards who push up prices for locals. Most shopping is delivered. Villages dead in winter so little support for elderly in the villages. Get tax relief on mortgage and often registered in name of business so less tax paid. Lower rate of council tax. And they only need to have the property advertised for rent 8 months in the year and only rented out 4 months in the year to gain tax relief.

The local people are the ones who suffer. And the holidaymakers are in severe danger of being knocked down as they seem to think the road is for pedestrians not vehicles.

Proof, if proof were needed that people can post any old nonsense and they think it's fact

'Get tax relief on mortgage'
No you don't

'and often registered in name of business so less tax paid''
Nope

'Lower rate of council tax.'
Nope not true

And they only need to have the property advertised for rent 8 months in the year and only rented out 4 months in the year to gain tax relief.

What tax relief?

Even if true, it's within the rules, allowances and the law so fair play.
