Extinction Rebellion may be attacking wrong target

They want to stop air travel but it is the fast fashion that is the big criminal in my mind. As my cousin in law said about her two daughters in law "they buy new clothes at Primark every summer and winter and then throw them away at the end of the season." 2 women who have decent jobs and whose husbands have very well paid jobs and so do not need to shop at Primark as that is all they can afford.

Not teenagers, middle class, very good family incomes. But they like far too many buy, wear, chuck and buy again.

The environment cannot stand this sort of shopping. And apparently we cannot even recycle our unwanted clothes so easily these days. So they will end up rotting in landfill adding to the greenhouse gases killing off humankind. The earth will survive, it will just evolve without us.
