I happy that Wetherspoons are becoming a pub with no beer. But although Brexit and out Govt. are largely to blame we must also see the covid effect. Some would be drivers have been waiting for a test to get their HGV licence for many months.

There are pressures elsewhere, but unfortunately the isolation caused by Brexit makes things so much worse for the UK. There isn't a blood test tube crisis within the EU because they've been able to increase production internally very easily and have no distribution barriers between members, whereas the UK doesn't have comparable resilience to do that and is suffering from our own additional border/customs difficulties. Expect to be lonely when you go it alone.

Am I gloating and saying "We warned you"? No, I am not, but I am angry with those who pushed lies to further their own agenda and fill their already overflowing pockets. People voted leave for various reasons but too many voted leave based on fake news.

Any such "win" by the Republic will do little to offset the costs imposed by Brexit - the fallout from a decision where they had no input.
To look at the issues from outside the UK bubble, Ireland's economy is being impacted by the uncertainty of border issues particularly those sectors that built up successfull all-Ireland business after the troubles. As an example, Guinness was brewed in Dublin, crossed into the north for bottling and back again to the Republic for distribution.... I'm sure that product journey is under scrutiny now!
