Rishi Sunak says Gavin Williamson did the right thing by resigning from the Cabinet over bullying allegations last night.

Mrs Thatcher resigns On November 22, Margaret Thatcher resigned as Prime Minister after 11 and a half years in office. After meeting the Queen and making one final Commons speech, Mrs Thatcher left office, saying
"We're happy to leave the UK in a very much better state than when we came here”.

Matt Hancock announces that he will not stand again as a Conservative MP, saying his party “must now reconnect with the public we serve”.
Code for I doubt being selected by the local party to stand again.
