Imagine that you couldn’t attend the funeral of someone you loved and then you see the Deputy Prime Minister defending Downing Street drinks because *they’d* had a gruelling day?!

To those of you who don’t have to imagine I am truly sorry. The PM is a disgrace.

A leaked email casts doubt on Boris Johnson’s denial that he intervened in the evacuation of the Nowzad animal charity, run by former Royal Marine Pen Farthing, from Afghanistan. The prime minister had previously dismissed claims he was involved as “nonsense”.

I expect he thought it was a business charity.
No, no - although it may have been said by the PM, he is so busy sorting out the pandemic that someone else was using his mouth. He can't be expected to control everything - and his brain is very big, so it's not possible for him to know what's happening in every part of it. If he did actually say the words, they have a different meaning in Etonian and what he meant to say was exactly whatever you want to hear. I think we need to wait for the tooth fairy's opinion and, in the meantime, we should cut him some slack as it's not easy being him - remember, he almost died when he stubbed his twisted his ankle in the last U-turn.
