And 7% who do not have access (maybe more if you count access at home only) are going to be the poorest in society.
Nonsense. A near-neighbour of mine will be 90 shortly. His house is worth in excess of £1m and he has a generous workplace pension. He does not have internet access.
One swallow does not a summer make.

Indeed- and I would be the first to say that is only an anecdote and not evidence. But it illustrates that not having internet access and being poor not necessarily the same, as Mrs Blythburgh was claiming.

I stand by what I say: the poorest often do not have an internet connection at home.

I agree that is likely. But what you previously said was that those who do not have an internet connection at home are the poorest. Not the same thing.

The poorest cannot afford an internet connection as just paying bills and buying cheapest food takes all their money

It's very basic now. I use it to get the cricket scores and the local weather maps are very good.

The old teletext was great - it was the end of an era when it ended in 2009.

I used to use Teletext to check the departure / landing of flights.

BBC suspends Red Button text switch-off https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-51295430
BBC director general Tony Hall said he would examine the concerns and make "a fresh decision" in the spring.

One person not necessarily representative of the general population.

More worrying is the axe of the Victoria Derbyshire programme and the cull of news programmes researchers etc. Has to happen because the Govt. is determined to kill off the Beeb and so forces it to pay for the 75+ licence and world service
