Did not realise you were American
But Americans don't use Meters. They use Yards
Yeah, "My milkshake brings all the boys to the meter" wouldn't make any sense!!
I remember the original of this by the 60's band the Meterbirds

What part of "2meters" don't some people understand?
[valid rant about social distancing]
These crazy individuals want to show off their green credentials but what are they thinking!!! :wtf:
 Well done Boro Boy, shoe-horning that evil greenies point in there!
Or more likely telling it like it is. Too many cyclists think they can do what they want when they want and give the respectable ones a bad name.

The council allowed cyclists to ride on our upper promenade. So instead of stopping at Kensington Road they ride along the narrow pathway in front of the Cefas building. They then ride down the grass to the car park and then onto the road instead of following the path to it. Needless to say they are making ugly ruts in the grass.

Same as some car drivers who choose to park on the grass verges locally instead of keeping the whole of the car on the road. Result deep ruts in the grass which when it snows or in the dark could be very dangerous.

NEWS FLASH: Riding a bike on the pavement close to other people whilst wearing Lycra stops Corona Virus!!!!

If only it was true! But it seems a large amount of London Cyclists seem to act as if it is!

Today whilst I did my best to avoid other pedestrians also walking on the pavement, suddenly I was approached within inches by cyclists twice then the roads I was next to were empty of traffic and (worse still) had cycle lanes!!! This madness just doesn't make sense...! I could have counted at least another 6 cyclists doing the same thing (to other people on the other side of the road) within my hour exercise.

What is it with the Holier Than Thou Cyclists!?!

Silly "expert" doctor on BBC news Q&A's about 9:50am this morning ,said it was very unlikely you could catch coronavirus outdoors.

In context she was talking about pedestrians catching it from joggers as the pedestrian in question was talking about the proximity of joggers while she was taking her morning constitutional. In reality joggers might be breathing heavily but they were not coughing and the virus (if present) was not being projected. But yes perhaps it was a bad choice of words.

So much easier to say the right thing when you have a script in front of you

In context, the streets are all but deserted and those who venture out, the vast majority, 99.9999% are following social distancing rules so not so silly.

I wish, much to my displeasure, I live in well populated town.

Under the extra-ordinary circumstances, had I not have rented out my little hideaway getaway then that would have been ideal.
