Fear of a 2nd wave raises its head: https://uk.reuters.com/article/us-healt ... healthNews
Linked to close contact and so with the easing of the lockdown unfortunately it is to be expected.
Looking at people out of my window/nearest tube station/supermarket, lock-down/social distancing restrictions have not been observed for some considerable time (and pre-Cummings)... :wtf:

Here it was always observed as far as I could see. Post Cummings some younger people are not prepared to give me a wide berth when I am out and about.

One rule for the little people and one rule for the elite like Cummings. So some people are saying I am not a little person and if he can break the rules so can I

This shop owner thinks the way his shop looks is far more important than his customer future health...: https://www.kbbreview.com/29829/news/sc ... p-retailer

My fear is he is not the only shop owner who thinks this way! I wonder if a 2nd wave will convince him to change his ways...?

He's not saying he will ignore the issue. Just that in his low-footfall showroom he can make enough changes that he doesn't need to put up screens etc.

He's right about all these measures 'ruining the ambiance'. Shopping isn't as easy or pleasurable as it was before. People enjoyed going shopping before; now you have to keep watching where you're standing, what you're touching, who's around you. You can't try clothes on and you feel guilty pulling the longer dated food from the back of the shelf.

So yes, he's right, the measures do affect the shopping experience, and his shop relies on happy shoppers feeling comfortable to spend a little bit more on bathroom bling, rather than wanting to get out asap. And in his specific case, he thinks he can avoid going the whole hog of screens and distancing lines.

He's not advocating this for everyone. Other shop owners should act equally responsibly.

Well, just fiction, if we're being pedantic.
