Warning: I got this email in my junk mail and they have sent it again as I ignored the one I found last night. And this title for the email is enough to say this is spam but how many will be taken in?

We have generated a new invoice, and we suggest you to use a credit card instead of a debit, to avoid any other consequences that might appear in case again won't be enough funds inside.
It's illegal to drive your vehicle until you've taxed it.
If you do not do anything
You'll be fined £380 if you donot tax your vehicle or tell DVLA that it's off the road. You'll also have to pay for the time it was not taxed.

I posted the above in a local FB group and got this reply:

Please forward this, and all phishing emails, to report@phishing.gov.uk as everyone they receive helps the criminals get caught. Martin Lewis fought to get a national system so let's use it.

I got a phone call about a car accident I had been in that was not my fault. British sounding voice and the call was from Lincolnshire. Told they were common as one of the hundreds of phone calls would result in them getting somebody to make an insurance claim and they would earn a percentage of the payout if successful.

Did not believe that it was worth anyone's while. But whilst waiting for wife to be dealt with in bank lady who was organising queues told me these calls are common and she has had loads of them.

Never to old to learn about the latest way to scam us

Easy motto to live by - always contact a company directly by their official website/telephone number. Never EVER respond to email instructions.
