Bustards like you are causing shortages for the rest of us and means that the essentials for food banks are not on the shelves. Too many people can only afford to get one weeks supply at a time and they cannot get everything because of Bustards like you, AAAlphaThunder

YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF

Sorry for shouting to all apart from AAAlphaThunder and I would do more than shout at him if I only could

The U in Bustards should be replaced with an A by the way

We keep a good store cupboard in case of illness or severe weather. Been topping it up as we use it.

Now we are now avoiding the shops and so went to Tesco website, so many slots full. Tried Morrisons and managed a slot of a home delivery for next Thursday. Can manage until then as we have a milkman 3 times a week.

But why has Morrisons got so many basics grey out with the words out of stock? I was not getting anything for over a week so why couldn't I order what I needed and hope it came? I was not planning to get 6 packets of pasta when one would be enough but that could be sorted by reducing the number of packets I could have.

Perhaps, but more scientifically:

Stocking up to prepare for a crisis isn’t ‘panic buying’. It’s actually a pretty rational choice:

That makes me the "Alpha Male" who is going all out to protect, provide for and give the edge to his wife, girlfriend and kids.

NO IT MAKES YOU A SELFISH BUSTARD WHO IS CAUSING THE SHORTAGE FOR THE MOST NEEDY

Not sure I should call him a Bustard which is a magnificent bird but do not want to use bad language on the site. I despise people like him who are causing the current shortages.

It's not every man for himself though.

There was no shortage of food or other supplies.
The current empty shelves are solely due to people buying more than they need.
If everyone just bought what they needed, or just a little more, there would be plenty to around, including for those who are in isolation and who have a genuine need to stock up for a couple of weeks.

Stockpiling without reason has caused a shortage and panic and it is entirely the fault of the people doing it.
If you have genuinely bought up goods unnecessarily, you should be ashamed of yourself. People are suffering as a direct consequence of your actions.

FREE Home Survival: Prepper's Guide to Turn Your Home into a Disaster-Proof Fortress (Long-Term Survival) [Kindle Edition]
A handy book to help deal with the tricky situation all of us seem to find ourselves in, hopefully it provides some useful bits of information and helps us plan better.

Description
Not every disaster can be fixed. Whether it’s an epidemic or a super volcano, an asteroid strike or a world war, there are large scale disasters hovering over mankind’s future that would bring civilization to an abrupt and permanent end.

But as any good prepper knows, that doesn’t mean the end of life altogether. If you think ahead, plan ahead and prepare before disaster strikes, you can continue to live a good and healthy life completely off the grid.

And the world does not need selfish stockpiling people like you.

On the radio only heard the start of the programme so only on story. Couple in 80's have weekly supermarket delivery. He has had a stroke and needs carers daily to wash and dress/undress. Went to order and no delivery slots for any of the weeks on the site. How do people like that eat?

But it is not you or your family so you just feel proud of yourself for booking your slots
