I see Boris is setting a fine example
left the hospital and went to his 2nd home.
Boris isn't alone. there are several high profile elite who have gone to their second homes (when really they shouldn't have).
Take Cabinet Minister Robert Jenrick. Left London to return home to wife and family for Easter break and took a very long detour to drop off stuff to his parents.
IMHO he should be like all those essential workers who are living apart from their families. Why not get local friends to get stuff for his parents? Why is he risking the health and possibly lives of his family by going home?
I accept that he went to his main home not a 2nd one. But so many Cabinet ministers and other Govt. workers have gone down with Covid19 how can he be sure he is not carrying or incubating the virus himself?
And why did he tell us to do one thing and do another himself and still keep his job? (And before you accuse me of attacking someone who is a Brexiteer the answer is I have no idea where he stood on Brexit or how he voted in the referendum or in the Parliamentary votes. I am angry with the I can do it but you must not attitude he has shown.)

There are 2 things that determine how quickly Covid 19 spreads.
1. How dense the population is.
2. How dense the population is.
Very clever the way you wrote that.

In local news it was reported that in Essex, think it was Harlow, that the mobile phone tracking showed this area had a much higher number of people getting together in non household groups.
Needless to say the main hospital for this area had far more Corvid19 admissions for that town than the rest of Essex

He's a contemporary of my late uncle, who was also with him in India during WW2. My uncle remained active until his last days (post 90), still shopping for the "old people" and running a voluntary hospital car service until he was "forced" to stand down at 85. I hope later generations can equal them.

I wonder how many of them are the Romanians who are coming here to pick the fruit and veg that are farmers are growing but unable to get many Brits to work for them.
I do wonder how much of the stuff planted in hope will be left to rot in the fields because of Corvid19 and Brexit.
And it was notable that despite Boris leading the cheer group to stop immigrants "taking our jobs" the two nurses he named as watching him every minute of the day and night were both immigrants.

That's not especially important anymore, we're several weeks past the attempted containment phase; it started too late and was a dismal failure. The UK has uncontrolled spread of the disease, it can't be kept out now, we've had to move into a period of delaying the impact. Those arriving from overseas are mostly returning residents, aren't they? They will enter the same restrictions as everyone else here.

None as they are all being checked on arrival and going into quarantine in situ when they arrive. Paid for I might add by the farmer concerned. It is
Covid19 not Corvid19 I think you mean.

https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus- ... t-11974364 "The Feed the Nation campaign is working to find farming jobs for the unemployed. So far it has had more than 33,000 applications of which 90% are British.
But it has only successfully placed 125 people in jobs so far."
