"might have been a minor breach of the Regulations that would have warranted police intervention"

The "might" here is going to the intervention, not to the breach

Quoting statement as

"might have been a minor breach of the Regulations"

is misleading

"might have been a minor breach of the Regulations that would have warranted police intervention"

means there was a breach, but not one sufficiently seriousness for more than advice
So in summary:

- confused police statement wording
- police consider the Castle Barnard trip as an offence under the regulations
- but on known facts it was so minor that words of advice would have been given
- only if words of advice rejected, more formal police powers invoked

Dominic Cummings considers quitting later this year, just before the Brexit damage begins to bite hard, how convenient. The unelected and unaccountable elite, taking back control from the people, but no responsibility for their actions...

We need to move on but the only we can really move on is if Cummings goes.

He broke the Govt. advice on more than one occasion.

A woman in court on charges of tax evasion in New York, if memory serves me right, said "Only little people pay tax".

It seems the elite like Johnson and Cummings think only little people need to pay attention to the Covid rules

I have suffered from being confined to the house or a walk in the area. Others have been ill, lost loved ones, had a lower income due to being furloughed, lost their jobs, not knowing if their business/place of work will survive.

But Cummings can break the rules and everyone around Johnson makes excuses for him.

Yesterday the Health Secretary was pressed on BBC Today programme about how we are expected to behave in the coming weeks and did Cummings behave the same. I felt sorry for a man who really wanted to say no he did not but had to stick to the party line.

As he's not a party member, imagine the damage he could do from outside the tent. Imagine the insider knowledge he has of the machinations of the Brexit campaign......

Personally, aside from the claims that some will use Cummings pathetic excuses to justify their own failure to comply with the "rules" as the rest of us see them, I find the bland, practiced, non-answers, diversions and slogans of Government ministers are causing me to switch off and potentially miss any rare nuggets of real information that might be contained in the continual broadcasts..

This post has been informed by scientific advice........ don't blame me, blame some faceless other that I can't possibly name because, if I did, you'd know.
