World Milk Day

Post by blythburgh » Mon Jun 01 2020 10:14am

Bet you did not know today is the 20th Anniversary of World Milk Day did you? I did not know and somehow, can't think why, I missed celebrating for the past 19 years.

I logged on to Milk and More to put in an order for the extras we need this week and that is how I found out.

Of course it is more expensive getting stuff from the milkman but although we are so grateful to the volunteers at our local group for getting shopping for us I do not want to burden them more than I have to. Hence getting more milk and other stuff via Milk and More.

We are not going out and having a meal, an icecream etc so on balance we are saving money.

Or the in laws. Sister in law is lactose intolerant. Her only daughter and son in law are vegetarians. He was a meat eater but his now wife beat him into submission. Sister in law told us once the daughter used actions to make her feelings very plain to some anglers fishing in the river they were walking by. Thankfully the anglers had more manners and ignored her.

Never told them I used to ride a cow as a child.

Now is a good time as any to bring the skeletons out of the cupboard.
