Thank goodness he is home but the BBC Today programme interview with Michael Rosen gives an insight into what happens next. It is not the end of the road by any means.
Keep smiling because the light at the end of someone's tunnel may be you, Ron Cheneler

Just because I'm paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get me

The Govt been counting positive cases twice .
But they have not gone back and altered the daily figures for positive tests ( just the cumulative ). This will make it look as if the number of daily positive tests is falling even though they may not be doing so.

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/uk/
July 2 (GMT)
Updates
576 new cases and 89 new deaths in the United Kingdom. "We have updated the methodology of reporting positive cases, to remove duplicates within and across pillars 1 and 2, to ensure that a person who tests positive is only counted once. Methodologies between nations differ and we will be making future revisions to align approaches as much as possible across the 4 nations.Due to this change, and a revision of historical data in pillar 1, the cumulative total for positive cases is 30,302 lower than if you added the daily figure to yesterday’s total. We will revise the methodology note explaining this in more detail in due course" [source] [source]

Ministers are due to finalise details of a series of "travel corridors" so people arriving into the UK on certain routes will not need to quarantine.

Most of Western Europe is due to be on an initial list of exempt countries.

The countries expected to be exempt include France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Belgium, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Turkey and Finland.

For obvious reasons, this cried out to me
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/health-53 ... e-of-covid

Firstly, this is someone who discovered they had bowel cancer at 28 years old..... not just cancer, but stage 4 and practically untreatable. So, imagine someone older, or someone less able to fight.

Secondly, this is someone who did not die of COVID-19, but died because of it.

RIP.

There has been a week on week daily increase in the number of cases 4 days out of the last 5 . ( todays was 50% higher than a week ago ) . Boris needs to do something NOW . - No wonder he stopped the daily briefings. Facemasks will be compulsory very soon but it will be like using a cork to plug a dam.
