That's a fair discussion to have. But Garindan did try and get a conversation going about our exit point on the second batch and it was met with a deal of silence.

Certainly think there's an argument to be made to have an 'out' point on this share - £1.80 ish would be an interesting price to consider. But, as always, it'd be handy to know what we were selling to jump to. If this share has legs, there is no point selling out on it for money to sit in cash.

Of material impact to the recent share price fluctuations is the simple fact that the Canadian tax year is the calendar year. So December 31st 2020 is the final day of the Canadian tax year. No doubt there are tax advantages to selling and buying back in the new tax year 1st January 2021.

Unfortunately yes. It gives me no pleasure (not least because it impacts significantly on my own units in the CIC as well other members) but this was always the risk associated of holding such a large proportion of one share and steadfastly refusing to crystallise any of it. I truly wish this had not happened and I had been proven to be overly cautious when suggesting that we sell some of our holding a week or so before Christmas, however history has shown that this share tends to yo-yo at certain thresholds which is the case yet again. I had hoped that we could have banked our profit and now be in a position to jump back in (or not if we were not feeling optimistic). Hey-ho. 😔

Whilst it is true the share has lost a fair bit in value the past few weeks, I would personally question whether if we'd sold this share we'd be looking at buying it back again. It is volatile. However, if we'd sold and then lost out due to a sudden rise we'd be having this conversation the other way round, no doubt. It's swings and roundabouts in my eyes.

In the absence of a crystal ball, there is no guarantee which way the share price will move. It is anyone's guess.

Increasingly looking like this is going to be long term.
Is that still matching what we need?

In terms of reward I think we need to sit tight. It is unfortunate we didn't sell and then have been able to reinvest in it again but we didn't have the benefit of knowing it was going to drop much. Of course if it had gone up significantly after a sale we'd then have been wondering what we could have had. I'm still confident our time will come.

It does look like it may take a little longer to turn that outcome about, but I still believe there needs to be significant updating of the current proposition for investors, what has been flowing from production and forecasting of what continued development of the proposition and output will behold. I think this should be forthcoming sooner rather than later. The fact Sprott invested a big chunk again suggests we shouldn't be too worried about our investment. If he'd any doubts about PGM I'd be very surprised to have seen that new big purchase.
