This might not be any more qualified than rumour/hearsay right now, but let's face it nobody will be the least bit surprised if they do try to stuff the Lords as reported here:
"Revealed: Secret plan to pack Lords with Tory loyalists"
https://www.itv.com/news/2022-07-15/rev ... -loyalists
yep, seems totally in keeping with the rest of the things done lately....... if it works against you, cancel it.

Seems like, having made such a great job of turning the clock back to the 70s, we are now channelling Thatcher in a big way.... Truss, obviously, and Richboy claiming to be a Thatcherite 4 times in 3 sentences!!

I see nothing wrong with party members choosing a new leader but would say they had to be members for at least 6 months.
But as every party has a tiny percentage of those who vote in general elections then a change of leadership should really lead to a general election to make it a truly democratic thing when we get a new PM

Yep, we need a general election as soon as possible.
Brexit has now devoured so many tory leaders we've had 4 different Prime Ministers in just 6 years.
