Given that it's still a cheap way for the government to increase debt, I'm not surprised.

Just because I'm paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get me

Marcus
We've increased our interest rates by 0.30%
New underlying interest rate Previous underlying interest rate
2.55% AER / 2.52% gross* (variable) 2.25% AER / 2.22% gross* (variable)
That becomes 2.85% including their tediously separate 0.25% bonus. The change takes effect today.

The UK's inflation rate is currently higher than any other of the world's advanced economies, with prices rising by 10.4% in the year to February, in contrast to the US and the Eurozone where inflation has eased to 6% and 8.5% respectively.
Food inflation hit 18.2% and is now running at the fastest rate in 45 years.
