Just registered my Love2Shop card from SunLife. It's good to see that it has a wide range of exchange options available, e.g. Amazon, Asda, Morrisons, Tesco and Sainsbury's. Sometimes other Love2Shop cards don't have so many options, e.g. exchanges can be limited to just travel and/or dining categories. They can all also be spent directly with multiple retailers, of course, including Iceland, Argos, M&S, Boots and WIlko. Expiry in 15 months is quite a bit shorter than usual.

I see that Love2Shop now deduct 5% when performing most of the useful gift card exchanges. It was previously free to exchange, or the fee might be specific to these cards but it has been free in the past when I've exchanged other Love2Shop cards for Amazon gift cards. I'm not seeing the 5% fee mentioned for some exchanges including JL/Waitrose, B&Q and the retailers that also accept Love2Shop (e.g. Argos, M&S and Halfords).

Just picked up a couple of £25 Amazon gift cards in Iceland and successfully paid using this Love2Shop card. They're old stock but valid for 10 years as usual and there's no fee for spending the balance this way!

That seems to be working well. I've now successfully redeemed nearly all my Love2Shop balances using this method, without any questioning of the purchases.

Yes. Looks like you get a 'Dine Card' now too.

Some brief tips from my recent experience:
  • You'd likely need to call them for their lowest premium; otherwise it's probably £7 online.
  • They might offer you a second policy on the same terms shortly after the first one is up and running. If so, it's a genuine opportunity to earn 2X the incentive!
  • Can cancel the monthly direct debit as soon as you receive the gift card. They'll probably write a few times urging you to resume payments, then leave you alone.
