I feel I am about to live in a Police State.

If a foreign worker is legally here with their spouse when the visa runs out if the worker does not earn £38K they the family will be sent home. Children in school will be sent to a different country. Despite the fact the worker in the family pays tax, does not take benefits and is an essential worker.

They have added a bit to a bill going through parlaiment that will enable to DSS to look at the bank accounts of anyone claiming in benefits including Pension Credit. It is already hard enough to get some pensioners to claim PC and this will mean some will not claim, others will stop claiming. And hypothermia already kills some pensioners every year. But they are changing the Inheritance tax so the 5% who actually pay it now will be able to keep even more money.
Keep smiling because the light at the end of someone's tunnel may be you, Ron Cheneler

We are fast becoming a right wing state. In a way I suspect the current PM is more middle of the road. But being weak is being held hostage to the whims of the right wing of his party. The cons are at the end of the road and need to be replaced ASAP

The sooner we are given the opportunity the better.

What can I say.

When I said the UK was not applying existing EU rules, I was told that it was all about sovereignty.

When I said that cooperation was more important than sovereignty, I was told that was "un-British"

When I started describing previous ministers as pocket-fascists, I was told I was being leftist.

When I said the Tories were tranferring the public purse to private pockets, I was told I misunderstood.

When I said Johnson was ignoring the rules as they had no teeth, I was told that there was no need for a written constitution.

When I said that a democracy where one section can ride roughshod over the rest is not a democracy, I was told I was "celtic fringe".

When I said that the small boats were an irrelevant mask for government failings, I was told they are a real problem.

When I suggested that the problem is that people believe the spin they are fed............

WAKE UP! Malign forces are usurping power - and not all of them are in plain sight and those who are in plain sight are often just imposters.

I really don't think that this is ever gonna happen and those that think it will are living in cloud cuckoo land. It will have been a massive 240 million pounds ++ down the drain. [Edit] I forgot the 50 million due to be paid next April. So that's 290 million.

However I will lay no bets. Little fails to surprise me nowadays. If it does happen the fact that all that money will have been spent for just 100 people a year. Just reinforces how fiscally incompetent these people are.

The UK is in danger of slipping back into a Victorian-age gap between mainstream society and an impoverished underclass, a report has warned.

Some 13.4 million people lead lives marred by family fragility, stagnant wages, poor housing, chronic ill health and crime, according to the Centre for Social Justice.

The CSJ's report - Two Nations: The State Of Poverty In The UK - argues that the most disadvantaged in Britain are no better off than 15 years ago, at the time of the financial crash, and cites evidence that switching from welfare to work isn't worth it for them.
