I'm with Richard's decision on this. I see Kev's point about needing to ask the shareholders first though. I'd say that a suggested course of action is needed as a recommendation first-up for less 'commercially pressing' things like this and then let the shareholders decide if it is the right move. If it is then it can be implemented and if a better solution is found that people support then so be it.

However, if it is something that is required to ensure the site works commercially I'd be happy for Richard to tell us what is being done and for him to implement it without the need for anyone to be asked. We should be told though, and if there are some helpful comments/suggestions to be made then they should be heard and reacted to if sensible.

That's my entry for this months vote!

Andrew

I don't feel that i have a real opinion either way on weather
the POTM should be LTd to 1 prize per person
BUT
I do feel strongly that as
we are told that the site
'belongs to us'
then something like this which dosen't efffect anything either way
Makes no dif to Richard if 1 or 3 peeps win
Then i feel it something that should be put to the shareholderas

Richard should have started a thread askin
'Should POTM be LTD to one prize per person?>'
He could have said then that he thought it should
That would have been right an proper

Yes, I take your points. I'll certainly try to consult before taking a decision on non-commercial matters where practical. In this instance, my concern was that the decision really needed to be taken at the beginning of the month otherwise we might be seen to be moving the goalposts mid-comp

And I anticipated that the decision itself would be fairly uncontroversial - rightly, by the looks of it ;)

Yes it might be contreeverseall to change mid month
But it could have been said
'From NEXT month we will move...'
OR
Better
'Want do others feel about ...'

Well we are still very early in the month and there is a poll with a clear majority of those who found it and bothered to vote.

I congratulate Kev for his wins which are way overdue. But I do agree it should be one prize per person.

Maybe we could have the list of top voted posts and if it is Sir Kev in 1st , 2nd , 3rd and 5th place then the person in 4th place gets the second prize and so on.

This way we see the most popular posts and still get three winners.
