I have been asked to send you a bank statement as proof of ID - why?

In order to protect our merchants from fraudulent activity, we are required to perform certain checks to ensure that all our member accounts are used for genuine transactions, and that each member abides by our "One account per person" rule. By providing a copy bank statement to confirm your identity, you can help us to protect and improve our cashback offering to genuine members. To quote from the membership terms and conditions:

"The member must have a valid UK bank account capable of receiving BACS payments, and on the request of The company, be able to verify their identity by providing a copy bank statement to The Company."

Note that if you bank online and there is no screen showing your address, please send a copy of your end of year tax statement, or similar correspondence from the bank.

Thanks

The fact that you have been asked to provide proof of ID does not mean you have done anything wrong! There could be several reasons, including:
- Your account bears similarities to another where a suspicious pattern of activity has been observed
- You have earned cashback at a merchant which has seen a number of fraudulent transactions, and they have asked us to take steps to prevent further problems
- You have accessed our site using the same computer and/or IP address as one or more of our other members

Please be assured that this information will only be used to verify your identity, and will not be retained for any other purpose

Once you have sent your copy statement to us, you will be able to request payment of your awarded balance by cheque. Once we have confirmed that the cheque has been cashed, you will then be able to request subsequent payments by BACS. Your co-operation is much appreciated
